The Farmhouse Inn
So I’m taking a zero today at the Farmhouse Inn Hostel to have this knee checked out. The hostel is such a nice place. I think Danny and I could do a drive up to Maine someday and revisit all these awesome hostels. The rest of the group are hiking already and will stay at the shelter 11 miles up the trail. Don’t think I’ll be able to catch them. 😞 The hostel has chickens and a pet pig. The couple moved here from CO 3 years ago and started the hostel and they’re taking over the Stratton Motel in 2 weeks which is another 30ish miles up the trail.
Im going a little stir crazy already. I’m not use to not being in hiking mode by 6-7 am. I should be 4-5 miles down the trail by now. Oh well.
I think I’m going to get a shuttle to town and get a real brush and actually wash and dry my hair which will be a real treat. Oh the small joys of life.
Joyce, Pilgrims wife is here also so I’ll get to visit with her which will be nice.
