2189.2 miles hiked–IT IS FINISHED‼️‼️‼️‼️
I can’t believe it’s really done.
The last two days were hard and tiring, but today was one of my favorite of the whole trail. I don’t know if it’s because I knew it was my last and I was pretty relaxed. It was 16.7 miles over The Bigelow Mountains. They were big mountains. A lot of climbing and descending. My favorite spot of the day was on top of Bigelow Avery Peak. It was named after Myron Avery, one of the people responsible for dreaming up the AT. The sun was shining with a nice breeze. I had the summit to myself and enjoyed a 30 minute lunch just taking in the breathtaking views. I didn’t want to leave, but I still had the hard part of the hike ahead of me because I hiked SOBO toward Stratton. I packed up and left and met a few NOBO hikers and enjoyed chatting with them as we crossed paths. The trail was dry. The weather was great. I was happy. I was excited. It was a great way for this adventure to come to an end. I couldn’t be happier that this section of the Bigelows is my last day on the trail. It was a hard hiking day, but aren’t they all. I thought I’d be a little disappointed that Katahdin wouldn’t be my last day, but I think summiting with Danny and saving this day for my last worked out great.
I’ll try to share my post-hike thoughts in a day or so, but for now, thank you all for the prayers, the encouragement, and support.

What a trip we R so proud of U Tks for the Adventures & the times when we were wondering what was going on then the answers would come & our Prayers were answered I believe the trip has just begun for U will be able to share a trip of a life time with family & many many friends we Love U & Danny

Woohoo!! Dream realized. I am so proud of your determination to stay the course and finish what you set out years ago to do. You have made memories that are awesome. I have loved following your posts, but I can’t wait to hear it all first hand. God truly blessed you and watched over your journey. I love you Sis!

Congratulations! Your legs and feet will probably go through a time of shock since You are finished and not stressing them now. Thanks for all the beautiful pictures
of God’s nature. We have enjoyed keeping up with Your AT walk. Claude and I both are PROUD of You. This is quite an accomplishment.
